"Elmore, Maria Hall.
Daughter of Asa and Maria (Hall) Elmore, was born in Peru, Clinton Co., N. Y. A pupil in Troy Seminary from 1826 to 1827; married, in 1832, Chauncey Drury Goodrich. Of five children, only one, a daughter [Cornelia Emma Elmore Goodrich], lived to maturity. She became the wife of Chauncey Stoddard, and died in 1854, leaving no children.
Mrs. Goodrich died in 1853, having been a widow from 1848."
