AGAWAM - Thomas H. Dodd, 84, of Agawam died, Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at a local nursing home.

Born and educated in Southbridge, MA, he worked as an electrician for various electrical contractors in the Worcester area, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Mr. Dodd is survived by his wife Doris S. (Clemons) Dodd, his daughter, Judith S. Rososky and her husband, Charles of Springfield, a brother, Brian Dodd of California, a sister, Frances Hesselton of Worcester, his 2 grandsons, Michael A. Rososky of Groton, MA and Russell C. Rososky of Springfield, his 2 great-granddaughters, Rachael I. Rososky and Michaela E. Rososky both of Groton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m., in the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA. There are no visiting hours and arrangements are under the direction of Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Rd, Springfield.

80860 Thomas moved to Lyme, Conn., about 1736-37. About 1740, he married Sarah Clark of Colchester, CT. She died on 8 Feb 1766 or 1776.

Thomas moved from Lyme to Ellington in 1745 or 1746, then a parish of East Windsor, where he died on 27 January 1777. In 1886, his gravestone was still standing.

Thomas was a large landholder. In 1886, his granddaughter, Mrs. Eliza H. Baird, of Hartford, CT, had in her possession a deed for 100 acres of land situated in what was then Rockville, in Vernon, CT, on the border of Ellington, which Thomas purchased in 1761 for 65 pounds. The deed was recorded in Boston, MA. Thomas also established iron works in Lyme and Ellington.

In it he mentions his sons Joseph, Samuel, Thomas, and daughter, Hannah Baxter, and his grandchildren Lydia, Mary and Ebenezer White and Hannah Baxter (Suffolk Probate).

Devoted grandfather of Audra, Sean, Brendan, Andrew, Michael, Bridget, Elizabeth and Timothy. Brother of Sean Curtin and his wife Mary, Donie Curtin and his wife Nora and Mary Talty and her husband Peter all of Ireland and the late Patrick and Mary Curtin. Dear cousin of Margaret Smith and her husband Edward of West Roxbury and Michael O'Brien and his wife Bridie of Westwood. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Thursday Jan. 18th from 3-8pm. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Friday Jan. 19th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary's Church at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.

80884 Timothy Hall was a physician at East Hartford, CT and seven children, the fifth was Austin, born 22 Jul 1789, married Betsey on 21 Nov 1810 and he died in August 1857. 

Austin's residence was in Hartford, CT and he had his wife had eleven children, the tenth of which was named Timothy E., born 17 Dec 1831, married Frances I. King of Hartford, where he resided, post office box 1037. 

Timothy E. Hall, many years before the printing of the book, HALLS OF NEW ENGLAND in 1883, had a schedule printed and sent it to many Halls requesting their pedigrees, but not having much success, gave it up.  He furnished Rev. David B. Hall, author of the HALLS OF NEW ENGLAND, the pedigree of himself back as far as Benjamin of Wrentham, MA. 

Austin Hall was in a Windsor Company in the service at New London, 1813.  

A Timothy Hall, probably his father, of Windsor, contributed 2 shillings, 6 pence fo the poor of the colonies.

Timothy Hall was a Private and a Sergeant with the Minutemen in the Revolutionary War.
