Thomas moved from Lyme to Ellington in 1745 or 1746, then a parish of East Windsor, where he died on 27 January 1777. In 1886, his gravestone was still standing. Thomas was a large landholder. In 1886, his granddaughter, Mrs. Eliza H. Baird, of Hartford, CT, had in her possession a deed for 100 acres of land situated in what was then Rockville, in Vernon, CT, on the border of Ellington, which Thomas purchased in 1761 for 65 pounds. Came to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 (based on admission to freemanship on 3 Mar 1635/6). Settled at Weymouth MA, where he was a carpenter. He was born about 1599 (deposed on 21 Oct 1659 "aged about 60 years"). He married by about 1635 ____ ____. She was living as late as about 1649, when her youngest child was born, but was not named in her husband's will in 1679. They had five known children. Austin's residence was in Hartford, CT and he had his wife had eleven children, the tenth of which was named Timothy E., born 17 Dec 1831, married Frances I. King of Hartford, where he resided, post office box 1037. Timothy E. Hall, many years before the printing of the book, HALLS OF NEW ENGLAND in 1883, had a schedule printed and sent it to many Halls requesting their pedigrees, but not having much success, gave it up. He furnished Rev. David B. Hall, author of the HALLS OF NEW ENGLAND, the pedigree of himself back as far as Benjamin of Wrentham, MA. Austin Hall was in a Windsor Company in the service at New London, 1813. A Timothy Hall, probably his father, of Windsor, contributed 2 shillings, 6 pence fo the poor of the colonies. Timothy Hall was a Private and a Sergeant with the Minutemen in the Revolutionary War. Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files Timothy, S30, MA Line, soldier was born in 1758 at Brookfield in Worcester Co., MA and he lived there at enlistment and in 1781 moved to Enfield, CT and 20 Mar 1782 moved to East Hardford in Hartford Co., CT and he applied there 10 Aug 1832, soldier died 6 Aug 1844 and an Eli Hall was executor of his estate on 3 Dec 1852 at E.
