  Luther Jacobs was a son of Whitman Jacobs, Jr.and Hannah (Walker) Jacobs, and was born in Royalston, Mass.,15 July 1781. He married Margaret Cochran in Croydon, NH., 20 Dec 1804. They settled on Stow Hill, Croydon, and paid taxes from 1803-1847. Luther & Margaret had a large family, all born in Croydon: 1. Burman/Burnham JACOBS, b 10 Oct 1805, marr Eliza Stearns, dau of Isaiah & Elizabeth Stearns, ca 1835 moved to Illinois. 2. Jacob Cochran Jacobs, born 20 July 1807, died, Croydon, 4 Apr 1832. 3.
