      History of Humboldt and Kossuth co, Iowa - page 754 - The first birth was that of Allie, the son of T Elwood Collins, born on the 3d of October 1856. It only lived a year and 7 months when it died and was buried in the cemetery on section 12. The was the first death in the township also.
