    He was known as "Sailor Tom".

    He served as Private in Captains Ny & Griffith's Companies, Colonel Jacob's MA Regiment (DAR file 138182).

    His leg was once broken by a whale.

    He left a will on 9 March 1793; It was proved 3 Sep 1793.
