    Elizur Hall, Sen. had 10 children. His children's Probate records, Hampshire Co. listing family members and support my assumption, but no mention is made of Elizur's father or mother.

    Only Samuel Hall. Came from Dennis, to Ashfeild, Hampshire, Ma., (and had 19 Children, Only Nine children are Registered: Ref. Hist of Ashfeild) Samuel Hall did not have a child born the year Elizur Hall was born? Could be possible match???? Biography in Amherst Library of Joseph Andrew Hall, suggest this. The information in a letter written to Amherst College by Elizur Hall, Jr. supports this I think????

    There were at least four Halls from the Cape who were early settlers here. Samuel settled in 1776 at this end of Cape Street on the east side of the Goshen highway, about one hundred rods south of the Taylor Corners. He was the father of Atherton, who moved to Savoy and left a numerous posterity.
