    Aaron Crowell was the son of Jerimiah and Hannah (Rider) Crowell.

    He married Mercy Howes, the 23 year old daughter of Ebenezer and Lydia (Joyce), in Yarmouth on February 12, 1736. They earned their keep through farming.

    After his wife Mercy died in 1752, Aaron married a second time to Pricilla Smith in Yarmouth on Dec. 5, 1752. She was born in Yarmouth on Sept. 23, 1714, the daughter of Josiah and Pricilla ( ) Smith.
