    George W. Hall was a Civil War soldier in the Union Army.  His name can be found on the Civil War Monument in the center of East Douglas.  George W. Hall mustered in with Company D of the Massachusetts 25th Infantry on 18 Aug 1862.  Transferred  5 Oct 1864 to Co. "A".  He mustered out on 14 Jul 1865.

    George W. Hall had light hazel eyes, light brown hair, dark complexion and was 5 feet, 7 inches tall.

    Pension File shows that George W. Hall filed as invalid on 1 Jul 1895, Application No. 1168421, Certificate No. 1054924 in Massachusetts.  His widow, Emily, filed on 18 Mar 1908, Application No. 887419, Certificate No. 649419.  The pension was signed by Attorney J. B. Hall and Son.

    The 1890 Military Census shows George W. Hall residing in Northbridge, Massachusetts.
