    Notes:

    He gave his property to his widow Rebecca, to John, son of his brother John, and to Ephriam, son of his brother Ephraim (Bristol County Probate Records, 1760-1762, Page 323). His will being dated 25 Jun 1759. Based on this, it would appear
    that Edward and Rebecca had no children.



    He was a grantee of land in Narragansett Township, No. 4, which as granted to his father John for fighting in King Philip's War. (Richard Lebaron Bowen, Early Rehoboth, Page 283)

    The following is taken directly from a book entitled John Adams and the America Revolution, A Decision Arrived At, by Catherine Drinker Bowen 1951, pages 299 - 300. The paragraphs concern a conversation that took place between Abigail and John
    Adams. It states:



    "Your mother had a new dress," she said., "of peach-colored taffeta. And a peach-colored bonnet, trimmed with white satin ribbons. Have you not noted it? Mr. John Hall, last night, admired the costume excessively when he was here. Ladies

    Bristol County Probate Records, 1757-1764: Ephraim Hall of Attleborough in the County of BristoL, yeoman greeting; Appoint you to be guardian unto Ephraim Hall, a minor above ye age of fourteen years, son of Ephraim Hall but now in his
    majesty's service. With full power and authority to ask, demand, sue for, recover, receive, and take to custody, all and singular such part and portions of his estate as accrues him by any way or means whatsoever doth of right appertain or
    belong to command to manage, employ, and improve the same for his benefit, etc., etc...until he arrives at full age or otherwise as said by judge. Norton, May 24, 1759, George Leonard. (The reason for this was that Ephraim, b. 1741, son of
    this Ephraim, was left property by his Uncle, Edward Hall, who had no children.)
