    The published volume of Rehoboth vital records has widow Sarah (Redway) (Carpenter) Brooks's date of death as 8 January 1717/8 and describes her in that record as a "stranger" (non-inhabitant) (see James N. Arnold, Vital Record of Rehoboth, 1642
