    Sarah Gillette was a descendant of Jonathan Gillette who came over from England on the vessel Mary and John that sailed from Plymouth, England on 20 March 1630 and was one of the first settlers of Windsor, CT. His grandson, Gen. Jonathan Gillette, married Sarah Ely, a granddaughter of Richard Ely, founder of the Ely family in Lyme, CT., and his great-grandson, Capt. Jonathan Gillette (Sara's father) married Phoebe Marvin of the Marvin family, also prominent in Lyme, CT., one branch of which lived on Grassy Hill.

    Sarah married Ezra Hall on 20 Apr 1769 in Colchester, New London County, Connecticut. Ezra (son of Isaac Hall and Sarah Forbes Gates) was born on 17 Feb 1744/45 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut; died on 13 Oct 1813 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
