__________
Matilda H. Flint, the beloved wife of Mr. Charles A. Flint, died at her home near Smithfield, Sunday, August 24, after a brief illness, the cause of death being pulmonary tuberculosis. Her age was 58 years, 10 months, and 24 days. Prayer was offered at her late home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, and the funeral sermon was preached at Smithfield Church at three o'clock by the pastor, Rev. W. G. Myles. The interment was in the Smithfield Cemetery. Mrs. Flint was the daughter of Gilbert L. and Minerva Hall of Bergan, N. Y., and she had been a resident of this neighborhood about twenty-two years. She was a very intelligent woman, and was always foremost in the work of helping those with whom she came in contact, and was devoted to the cause of Christ and to the work of the church. Her presence will be sadly missed in the home circle, and in the community where she resided so many years.
