    Notes:

    From FindaGrave:

    From Mark Cravens:

Isaac and Urette (Hall) Van Syckle are buried at block 25, in lots 9 and 10 which is owned by her father, George W. Hall. George has a mother (Betsy Balch) and son buried in the same plot. The son was killed and buried at Stone River Tennessee and has a government maker. However, after careful examination of the burial site, the stones for his mother Betsy, and his son Jehiel are not to be found in the area. They may have been broken and removed. I took a trip to the cemetery in 1998 and found that the tombstones are very close to the edge of the road. I suspect that over the years, the snowplows probably destroyed the stones. I checked with the cemetery Sexton and the local library records indicate that Betsy Hall, and Jehiel the grandson, are buried next to the Van Syckle and Brownell families, so I am assuming that the records are correct. This information was taken from records at Riverside Cemetery and Dowagiac Public Library, Dowagiac, Cass County, Michigan. Isaac's occupation was Carpenter and Blacksmith.
