    Whitford R. Hall, 98 of Nashua, NH and formerly of Merrimack, NH died Tuesday May 28, 2019 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loved ones.

    Born October 12, 1920 in Nashua, NH he was the son of the late J. Earlfred and Helen M. (Reed) Hall. He was the widow of Beatrice A. (Linscott) Hall who died March 8, 2016 and with whom he married on October 12, 1946.

    Whitford was a self-employed caretaker for twenty-five years, retiring in October of 1985.

    Whitford was a graduate of Nashua HS, class of 1938. He served in the United States Army, from 1942-1945 and was a former long-time member of local, state and National Granges. He was also a member of AARP (National) and an Honorary Call Firefighter for the Merrimack Fire Dept. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and the many Norwegian Elkhounds of Somerri Kennels his family have bred and owned since 1961.

    Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward W. Hall, of Merrimack and J. Herbert Hall and his wife Sandra, of Merrimack; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura Hall Lewis and her husband Jack, of Merrimack; five grandchildren, Brett C. Hall and his wife Amy, of Pittsfield, MA, Corey J. Hall of Swedesboro, NJ, Alicia A. Lewis, of Merrimack, Jamieson W. Lewis, of Memphis, TN and Holly K. Lewis, of Pittsburgh, PA; one great-grandson, Theodore T. Breimaier-Hall, of Pittsfield, MA as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, grand nephews, great-grand nieces and great grand nephews.

    A special thank you to the Staff of The All-American Assisted Living at Londonderry NH who were so very helpful to him.

    SERVICES: Private services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua at the convenience of the family.     Obituary:
    William Horace Hall, Sr., 87, of Hollis NH, died June 3, 2002, at The Community Hospice House. Mr. Hall was born July 23, 1914, in Nashua, son of the late Lester Morton and Evangeline Mae (Clark) Hall. He had resided in Hollis for the past 31 years and previously lived in Nashua NH.

    Mr. Hall was a well-known area dairy farmer. He owned and operated the Hall Farm in Nashua and Hollis from 1940 until 1997. He raised turkeys and ran a saw mill and cord wood business. He was know in the area as a bulldozer operator and transported cattle locally.

    As a young man he enjoyed bowling and was an avid hunter. He was a past master of the former Nashua Grange 13 P. of H. As well, he had served as a director of the former Producers Dairy in Nashua. He served as a director of FLAME (Farmers Live Animal Market Exchange) and served on several Hillsborough County agricultural boards. He held membership in the New England Milk Producers Association. Mr. Hall was a founding member of the former Hollis Lions Club.

    He was predeceased by his wife Winifred (Anderson) Hall, who died Oct. 12, 2000, and his sister Elizabeth Orff in 1998.

    Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, James L. and Jeanne (Dunfey) Hall of Nashua, William H. Hall, Jr., of Hollis, and Dr. John A. and Jill Hall of Lancaster PA; daughter and son-in-law Janice (Hall) and David Snow of Hollis; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Evelyn Mary Barnett, age 91, currently of Willard but a former longtime Shelby resident, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at The Willows at Willard.

    Evelyn was born October 9, 1927 in Nashua, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Irvin and Doris (Hunt) Hall. She was a 1945 graduate of Nashua High School and attended the New England School of Art. A homemaker the majority of her life, Evelyn had also been employed at Shelby AMF and Rothlisberger Transfer. Known as "Grammie Evie" to her family and friends, she loved spending time with her family; she enjoyed reading, painting, crossword puzzles, and needlework.

    Evelyn is survived by her children: Richard W. (Sandra) Barnett of Willard, John E. (Kathy) Barnett of Dayton, Carla A. (David) Viers of Shelby, and Susan (Dale) Wills of Surprise, AZ.; eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a sister, Natalie Brown of Scottsdale, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Reese Barnett on December 13, 1993; two grandsons: Nicholas and Josh Barnett; and a brother: Richard Hall.

    Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10-11am at the Penwell Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will immediately follow at 11am with Pastor Rich Hose of Windham, Ohio officiating.     Richard Hall, 89, of Laconia, and former longtime resident of Nashua, NH passed away peacefully Saturday morning, September 8, 2018 at the Lakes Region General Hospital surrounded by his family.

    He was born on June 30, 1929 in Nashua, he was the son of the late Irvin E. and Doris (Hunt) Hall.

    Mr. Hall was the widower of Verna (Purington) Hall, who died on November 2, 2007.

    He was the owner and operator of the former Motor Service and Supply in Nashua.

    Mr. Hall is remembered for his love of spending time with family and friends, especially at the lake. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed playing cribbage. He enjoyed cars all his life, in particular his 1932 Rockne

    In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Hall was predeceased by a son, Bruce Hall, who died on May 7, 2007.

    Philip Lawrence Hall, 87, a lifelong resident of Nashua, died peacefully at his home on Nov. 7, 2016.

    He was the son of the late J. Lawrence and Elizabeth (Alexander) Hall, born in Nashua on July 3, 1929. He attended the Nashua public schools and the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a commission in the United States Air Force.

    While serving in the Air Force as instructor in electronic countermeasures at Keesler AFB, Miss., he met and subsequently married Lt. Betty Jane Baldridge USAF of Alexandria, La. After leaving active duty, he remained active in the USAF Reserve with assignments at Grenier AFB, Hanscom AFB, Westover AFB, and at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., on the Air Staff of Headquarters USAF as Electronics System Staff Officer, retiring as a Lt. Col. after 28 years of active and reserve duty. He was a life member of the Military Officers Association of America and the Reserve Officers Association of the US, and was president and national committeeman for the New Hampshire Department ROA.

    Betty and Phil are the parents of daughter Susanne Grigel and her husband, George, and sons Elliot and wife Marianne, and Charles and his companion, Tracy Hatch. They are the proud grandparents of Hillary Grigel and Katelin Armendariz and her husband, Cesar, Derek Hall and his wife, Gentry, Kathryn Eramo and her husband, Drew, Sarah, Alexander, and Nicholas Hall.
    He was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Buck.

Lawrence Hall Company since 1954, was a Registered Professional Engineer in New Hampshire with specialties in HVAC and Mechanical Engineering, and belonged to several engineering and business societies. He was a life member of professional societies NSPE, ASHRAE, and RSES. He was extremely well respected in the industry by his peers and his many employees.

    He served as chair of the advisory committee of the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College in Nashua, a governor of the New Hampshire Technical College system, was a member of the Nashua Rotary Club, served as director of Nashua Federal Savings Bank, BayBank, and Bank Boston banks, and a trustee of the Edgewood Cemetery. He had been an active member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and a chancel choir member for many years. He served as director of the United Methodist Foundation of New England.

    Phil's interest in Freemasonry was extensive. He joined the fraternity in 1954 and served as Worshipful Master of Rising Sun Lodge in Nashua in 1967-1969 and as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire in 1988-1990. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite bodies and the Shrine in New Hampshire and was coroneted a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in 1976 and became an Active Member of the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite in 1982. He had served as Deputy for Scottish Rite in New Hampshire and corporate secretary of the Supreme Council Corporation and the National Heritage Museum in Lexington, Mass. He was an Active Emeritus-member of the Supreme Council.

    SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, One Lock St., Nashua, on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at the Main Street United Methodist Church, 154 Main St., Nashua, on Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service in his honor at the church. Reverend Richard Cullen will officiate. Friends and family are invited to attend. Interment prayers and burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua, at the convenience of his family.     Norman Eliot Hall

    Norman Eliot Hall, 71, a native and lifelong resident of Nashua, Nashua Funeral Director and former owner of Davis Funeral Home, died at his home on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 following a lengthy battle with Bladder Cancer.

    He was born in Nashua on February 11, 1948, a son of the late Earl Norris and Lillian Pilsbery (Sherwin) Hall. Norman was the husband of Kathy J. (Holsten) Hall of Nashua and the widower of Virginia Mary (Shea) Hall.

    He was educated in Nashua and was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1966.

    Norman was also a graduate of the New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitary Science, Embalming and Funeral Directing in Boston, Class of 1967. As well, he was a graduate of the United States Army Quartermaster School, Memorial Activities Course in 1970. Norman was licensed as an embalmer in 1970, prior to entering the U.S. Army.

    Norman served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama before being assigned to the United States Army Mortuary, DaNang South Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1972, with the rank of Specialist 4. Norman was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

    Upon completion of his military duties, Norman relocated back to Nashua, and began working for Davis Funeral Home in 1972, and became licensed as a Funeral Director in 1977, and purchased the funeral home in 1987. Professionally, Norman was a member and Past President of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association, and was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and at one time proudly served on the NFDA Policy Board representing New Hampshire. He was a member of the Selected Independent Funeral Homes and the Cremation Association of North America.

    Norman held membership in the Odd Fellows and was a Past Noble Grand as well as the Organizations associated bodies, Masonic Fraternity, Scottish Rite bodies, York Rite bodies, and Bektash Shriners, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is a life member of the Nashua Historical Society. At one time, Norman was a member of the Grange and was a Past Master.

    Norman has made many cherished connections in his life as a lifetime Nashua resident. He was a proud participant and enjoyed many aspects of Nashua, especially parades and the Holiday stroll. Many people have shared stories about his ability to serve and support the families of Nashua for most of his life. In his personal and professional life, he was known as a storyteller, a compassionate comforter, and a thoughtful listener to all of life experiences. Through his many travels all over the US, his favorites to national parks and monuments, he added many prized items to his collections of pewter and Disney memorabilia. Norman loved to watch his grandchildren shine and shared pride over their accomplishments, and always laughed along with their funny antics to amuse him.

    In addition to his first wife Mary, he was predeceased by a sister, Barbara A. Ford and his brother, Warren V. Hall as well as his uncle, Whitford R. Hall who recently passed.

    Survivors include his wife, Kathy J. (Holsten) Hall of Nashua; his son, Andrew R. Hall of Nashua; his daughter, Heather M. Blondin and her husband Michael of Nashua; Kathy's daughters,

    Christine Lightsey and her husband Dewitt of Tilton, NH, and Kimberly Theriault and her husband Andrew of Merrimack; Nine grandchildren, US Army Private Austin R. Hall, Abigail Chase Hall, Emily Maura Blondin, Lucas Eliot Blondin, Hope Mary Blondin, Jackson David Theriault, Madison Ava Theriault, Colin David Stark Lightsey and Charlotte Grace Lightsey; three sisters, Priscilla J. Briand of Spring Hill, Fl, Phyllis R. Britton of Nashua and Beverly A. Conery of Ft. Myers, Fl; a brother-in-law, Ralph H. Ford of Bristol; numerous nieces and nephews.
