    HAROLD FRAZEE, AN AD EXECUTIVE; Retired Aide of MacManus, John & Adams Is Dead

    Harold D. Frazee of 301 East 48th Street and Carmel, N. Y., who retired last December as vice president of MacManus, John & Adams, Inc., advertising agency of 444 Madison Avenue, died yesterday at Lenox Hill Hospital.

    Mr. Frazee was in charge of drug and allied product advertising at the agency. He had previously served as vice presdent and director of the advertising agency of Tatham Laird, Inc., and was at one time president of the Wiley, Frazee & Davenport agency.

    He was a native of Cleveland and was educated at Syracuse and Columbia Universities. In World War I he served with the Aviation Section of the Army Signal Corps, of which he was one of the first instructors in night bombing.

    In 1929, Mr. Frazee formed a company under his own name, which pioneered in the use of spot radio advertising to sell packaged goods. He was also former president of the Hi-V Vitamin Corporation and vice president of the Manhattan Soap Company.

    In World War II Mr. Frazee was active in American efforts to counteract enemy subsidization in neutral markets.

    He leaves his wife, Mrs. Joan Grant Somerville Frazee; a son, Harold Jr. of Batavia, N. Y.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph S. Parks of Chicago; a stepson, Grant A. Somerville; a stepdaughter, Wendy Louise Somerville; a brother, Stanley of Oreland, Pa., and five grandchildren.

Campbell, Madison Ave. at 81st St., on Friday, 4 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
