Claire Turner Tibbetts, 90 of Beech Bottom, WV formerly of Haverstraw, NY passed away October 18, 2014 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center Beech Bottom, WV.

She was born October 5, 1924 in Haverstraw, NY to the late Thomas and Harriet Matthews Turner.

Claire worked as a custodian at Naunet High School and was a Catholic by faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roland R. Tibbetts, two daughters Dorothy Hammond, and Harriet Gilbert and one granddaughter Harriet Gilbert.

She is survived by her daughter which whom she resided Margaret "Peggy" Nielsen and Carl of Beech Bottom, WV, two sons Richard Tibbetts of Windsor Heights, WV and Timothy Tibbetts and Nancy of Thiells, NY, two sisters Peggy McElroy of Stony Point, NY, and Charlette Nener of Thiells, NY, thirteen grandchildren Dotty, Paula, Robin, Rusty, Joseph, Melissa, Nerissa, Tammy, Lindsey, Christopher, Sandy, Carol, and Little Richard, seventeen great grand children Catrina, RJ, Mark, Stewart, Hollyjoy, Elliott, Victoria, Tyler, Logan, Wyatt, Analise, Leanne, Ruben, Zach Lucas, Jaiden, and Maddox, and two great great grandchildren Harrison, and Riley.

Visitation will be held Friday October 24, 2014 from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 73 North Liberty Dr. Stony Point, NY 10980 . The Family requests memorial Donations be made in Claire's memory to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
