Mr. Hall was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Bentonville, Ark., to Vernon A. Hall and Willa M. Rumley. Charles graduated from high school in El Monte, Calif., and married Dorothy Mulqueen in 1945. In 1946, Charles was inducted into the Army and was sent to Yokohama, Japan, as part of the occupational peace keeping forces. Charles and Dorothy have lived in Dalhart since 1958.

Charles worked for Dalhart Butane and Equipment for 35 years, retiring in 1989. Charles loved to work with his hands. His pleasure was to build things, not necessarily for their use, but for the satisfaction of a job well done. Charles' pride and joy was rebuilding cars, Ford Model A's and T's were his speciality. Charles was happiest at home and working in his shop. Charles and Dorothy celebrated their 59th anniversary on Nov. 10, 1945.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deanna Hall Skipworth and husband, Dwain, of Anchorage; two sons, David Hall and wife, Sherry, of Flower Mound and Ray Hall and wife, Karen, of Eagle River, Alaska; a brother, Dale Hall and wife, Patricia, of Richardson; a sister-in-law, Lyndell Hall of Dalhart; his nephews, John Hall, Dan Hall and Jim Hall, all of Dalhart; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
