From FindaGrave:

There has been considerable debate over Daniel's parents, either Aaron Dunbar and his wife Mary, or Samuel Dunbar and his wife Lois Holt, with some indicating that Aaron and Mary had a son named David, not Daniel. But the 1798 will of Aaron Dunbar, probated in 1820, lists his wife Mary and children Daniel, Aaron, Asaph, Hall, Lyman, Mary and Keturah. No mention of a son named David (Edward Dunscombe, FAG contributor 46927502).
