Thomas Cushman, son of Robert and Persis Lewis Cushman had two families. First with Alice Hayward (1707-1803) from which they had a son Captain Thomas Cushman (1736-1820). The second family was when Thomas married Mehitable Faunce (1722-1761) after February 18, 1737/1738 when intentions to marry were posted in the Kingston Church. Mehitable was the daughter of John Faunce (1683-1751) and Lydia Cooke (1685-1738). Thomas and Mehitable had 12 children together.
