George fathered five children. With his first wife, Martha, he had Martha Ann Hall (1846- ) and George Washington Hall (1848- ). With his second wife, Diadama, he had Charles Hall (1851-1856) and Ellen Hall (1853-1853). With his third wife, Mary, he had Emma F. Hall (1867- ). Emma married Benjamin Sowden and then George W. S. Nichols.

George's third wife was Mary Jane Emmons. Mary was previously married to Albert Perkins Sargent. The marriage record for George and Mary indicates that her maiden name was Emmons. Their daughter's marriage record (to George Nichols) indicates that her mother's maiden name was Stacy. While it is possible that Stacy was Mary's maiden name, this is the only known reference to that surname. It seems most likely that the maiden name provided on Mary's own marriage record is the correct one.
