- George Oliver Hall, Jr was born on August 1, 1943, in Eldon, Missouri and died on April 6th, 2015 in Killeen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Oliver Hall (Dallas, TX). He is survived by his wife, Judi Sparks Hall (Killeen, TX), mother; Opal (Lesher) Hall (Red Oak), (99), and daughters Andrea (Ken) Hayes (Dillon, S. Carolina, and Maurine (Nick) Dean (Latta, S. Carolina), step daughter Celeste (Fernando) Fonseca (Desoto). Grandchildren: Megan & Katie Hayes, Kelsey & Chase Hester, and Great grandchildren: Kaeleigh & Jake Hayes, Step grandchildren: Felix & Natalie Fonseca. Surviving brothers include Harry (Wanda) Hall, (El Dorado Hills, CA), Charles (Nancy) Hall (Maryland Heights, MO), and John (Andi) Hall (Red Oak). Surviving sisters are Bonnie (Keith) Elders (Hutchins) and Grace (John) Feisthamel (Red Oak). Also survived by 7 nephews /1 niece.
After graduating from South Oak Cliff High School in '61, George joined and was a proud veteran of the US Navy, (1/62- 1/68). He also served in Bosnia (age 60), as a civilian consultant for 1 year. He worked at Texas Instruments, ('65-'95,) where he received the Navy Quality Award in '86. He received a BA (Business) from UT, (Dallas). George was a Past Master at the Gabe P. Allen #1352 Masonic Lodge, ('82-'83). George loved music & played the guitar & piano with a honky tonk, & rock & roll flair. George loved to ride horses & motorcycles, and shoot his weapons. He loved animals.
The Memorial service will be held at the Lonestar Cowboy Church of Ellis County on 1001 East Ovilla Rd (FM 664), on Sat, May 2nd, 2015 at 11 am, with a lunch afterwards at the church. Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the TX Scottish Rite Hosp. for Children.
