  From Genealogy of the Howes Family in America, p. 10 Thomas Howes and his wife came from England about the year 1637 and settled in at Nobscusset in Yarmouth, in March 1639. He died in 1665, aged 75 years. Their children were: Joseph, born in England; m. Elizabeth May; he died Jan 19 1694-5. Thomas, born in England; m. Sarah Bangs 1656; he died Nov. 20, 1676. Jeremiah, born in passage over; m. Sarah Prince; he died Jan 5, 1705-6.
