- From FindaGrave:
"Mary was born abt March 24, 1834 in Providence, Rhode Island (believe birth date on tombstone off by 2 yrs, based on age at marriage and census data - March 1832 date would put her birth a few days after her parents marriage).
"She married (at the First Baptist Church in Malden) a baker, on May 12, 1858 named David M. Patten who was born in Landale or Landaff (his father was John Patten and mother Nancy Ames). David worked at Warren Mansur's 637 Main St., Charlestown.
"In the census years 1850, 1870 and 1880 Mary is living in Malden with her parents Horatio Hall & Elizabeth Pinder, in 1870 and 1880 her husband David is also living with the family. Note that they are not found living with her parents in 1860 - they are living in Danvers (her 8 year old brother Ephraim is enumerated with her & David).
"In 1900 Mary (who has never given birth to a child) and David listed as head of household and a dealer have been husband and wife of 42 years and are living in Malden on 3 Richardson Ct. (the former home rented by her parents), with three boarders (Horatio Hall, Lucy M Hall her siblings & Alfeine F Beal). They are renters. David is a butter & egg dealer.
"There is no probate record for David. Elizabeth has an administration record on file at the Middlesex probate court. She had $1,400 is cash with was split amongst her living siblings, nieces and nephews (all named in the probate record)."
