  	Mrs. Kittie E. Shipman Native Roman Dies in Boston, Mass '96 Funeral in this city. William C. Perry, 414 W. Dominick Street, received word this morning announcing the death on Wednesday evening in Boston, Mass., of his sister, Mrs. Kittie E. Shipman. She was born in Rome and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Perry. She attended school in this city. Her marriage to F. M. Shipman occurred in Boston about 20 years ago. She had lived in Boston since her marriage. Mrs. Shipman is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. C. M. Hall of Malden, Mass, and two brothers, William C. Perry of Rome and George H. Perry of Galeton, Pa. The remains will be brought to this city Saturday forenoon and taken to the home of William C. Perry, where the funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m.

  From FindaGrave: "Frank M. Shipman was Kittie's 3rd husband. She first married unknown Hughes in Rome, NY and had a daughter in Oct 1881 named Georgianna (after her parents George Perry and Anna Jones both of Wales). She next married Frank Clough of Bath, New Hampshire. She later requested an annulment because she claimed he was already married to someone else (Lucy Chase). "Kittie married Clough in Frankfort, NY in 1889. She then moved to Lowell, MA and then to Lynn, MA where she met and married Shipman (he was a boarder in her home), She died in Lynn, MA but was buried in Rome near the rest of the family. "The following information was sent by Linda [Hall] Little: "Kitty's first husband was John Hughes of Ilion, NY - the newspaper reads: Perry, Kitty E. - Rome & John Hughes - Ilion. At residence of officiating clergyman Rev. Albert F. Lyle 8-4-1880. (HD 8-11-1880)."
