    • From Findagrave:

Samuel Appleton was the son of Thomas Appleton and Mary Issac of England. Husband of Judith Everard and Martha. Father of seven children. Samuel was born in 1586 in Little Waldingfield, Eng.

The Appletons were established in New England by 1636. The Appleton's probably came to New England in 1636 with the Nathaniel Rogers Company. On May 25 1636 Samuel took the Freeman's oath.

In May 1636 Mr. Appleton was chosen as a Deputy to the General Court. This position is equivalent that of state senator today.

The Appleton's ancestry can be traced back to Henry 1 of England.

His farm still exists. It is the oldest working farm in Massachusetts, and one of oldest in the US. It is here for everyone to enjoy.
