*From LDS records: "The death of their father, [Luther Warner, from cholera], near winter Quarters, Nebraska, on 6/14/1850, and the 1850 Utah Territorial census (taken in early 1851) prove that [these children] crossed the plains in 1850."
      __________

As an adult, Luther joined a Mormon caravan from his home in Reading, Hillsdale, MI, in 1850, probably with his wife, Permelia Stanton who was in Utah in the 1860 census. He became ill and within hours died from cholera (as did several other travelers) just west of the crossing of the Missouri Territory and into Nebraska. It is unknown, exactly, where he is buried.
