- CENTERVILLE - Ellis Y. Hall, passed away January 1, 1993 at LDS Hospital following an acute aortic aneurism.
He was born in Sutherland, Utah November 29, 1924, son of John W. and Katherine Y. Hall. He was raised in Logan, Utah. December 27, 1955 he married Lorraine (Lorrie) Gunnarson, marriage was solemnized August 19, 1975 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters: Vickie Hall and Lori Holstein and her husband, Bruce; sisters Annie Lindquist and Sarah Hadfield and brothers John R. and Nelson W. Hall.
He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a devoted father and husband. He served his church as a member of the Bishopric and as a temple worker.
He made his career in the field of service heading up operations for NASCO, a welding wholesale and supply service. His work took him and his family to Denver, Omaha, Great Falls, Gering and finally, Salt Lake City.
Ellis loved the out doors and found great enjoyment in the sunset, a patch of pine, a mountain stream, a picnic in the canyon with family and loved ones. His gentle manner, warm smile, hearty laugh and generosity will always be remembered. His courage in his final hours stands sharply in focus.
