  From FindaGrave: S/o Joseph Baxter and Mary Fiske. Married Rebecca Fisher, Oct. 12, 1732 in Medfield, MA. William S. Tilden, History of the Town of Medfield Massachusetts - 1650-1886 (Boston; Geo. H. Ellis, Publisher, 141 Franklin Street. 1887 Third Reprinting - 1991), 317. "#7, John, b. 1708, lived on the place which belonged to his father. He was a prominent man in town affairs, a surveyor of land, served many years on the board of selectman, was town clerk and town treasurer for a long time. He married in 1732 Rebecca Fisher, daughter of John(12), who died in 1796. He died in 1788. He owned a house about the year 1740 in the north part of the town, apparently near the spot now occupied by that of the late W. Q. Fisher; perhaps lived there till his father's death."
