  Abijah's cause of death was drowning. Abijah held the offices of constable, collector, selectman and captain.  All of his children were born in Croydon, NH except two. Abijah Hall served as a private in Capt. Josiah Russell's Company of Rangers and, 1777, as corporal in Col. Jonathan Chase's New Hampshire regiment. ________________ From Croydon Centenniel Celebration Book (1866): "Abijah Hall, remembered for his capital jokes and unfathomed resource of fun and anecdote, was drowned near the Glidden Bridge."
