  Grace died at her daugther's home and is buried in the cemetery near the gate. Grace was baptized June 18,1616 at Dedham, Co.Essex, England, the daughter of Edmund Sherman Jr and Grace (Makin) Sherman of Dedham, Co.Essex, and later of New Haven,CT. Older genealogies call Edmund's wife Joan Makin, but articles in The American Genealogist refute this supposition, and subsequent research published in The Great Migration Series (1995-2012) by Robert Charles Anderson, and an exhaustive study of the Sherman Family origins in England published in NEHGR up to Jan 2014 provide clarity to the family origins and identities.
