    • William Binford served as a soldier in the Revolutionary War and was a solider with the 37 Regt. Continental Line from 1775 to 1779. As a Private, he fought at Prospect Hill. In April 1780, he served aboard the ship Protector out of Boston, as a seaman.

      William was the son of William Binford of Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts and Phoebe Mansur Binford of Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Phoebe and William were married on 10 January 1754 in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. They had two children. They were: William Binford was born on 03 April 1755 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts; and Sarah Binford was born on 21 February 1761 in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

      William married Dorcas Richardson on 13 February 1780 in Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
