TYRINGHAM--Mrs. Elizabeth Loring Hale, 79, of Sunset Farm, Main Road, died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born Sept. 26, 1899, in Sandisfield, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Georgia White Loring.
Folllowing her marriage to Arnold B. Hale, on March 26, 1924, she moved to Tyringham.
She was a member of the Union Church, the Eastern Star Lodge of Lee and Pomona, state and national Granges, and a 50-year member of the Lee Grange.
She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Donald B. Hale of Tyringham; two daughters, Miss Alice M. Hale and Mrs. Mary C. Hale, both of Tyringham; five brothers, John Loring of Lee, Fred Loring of Tyringham, Charles Loring of Otis, Albert Loring of East Chatham, N.Y., and Herbert Loring of Hollywood, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Baylis of Huntington, Long Island, N.Y., Mrs. Frederick Miner of Otis and Mrs. Manuel Sousa of North Dartmouth; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 at the Union Church.
Burial will be in the Tyringham Cemetery.
Calling hours will be at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
