  • Notes
    • From FindaGrave:

      Wallingford May 2. 1833

      Dear Father & Mother.

I have just heard that Orrin M. Bartholomew is down and conclude that you may feel anxious to hear from your Daughter. Will inform you that she is now confined with a little son under circumstances quite favorable. They both appear to be doing well. He is a 10 pounder. He was born the 7th April. Cornelia has concluded to call his name Aaron Andrews after his two grand paws. I have bought him an $8.00 farm this spring but have not concluded to let him take possession before fall. This farm is a part of the Wadsworth Farm. Let your prayers assemble to Heaven that the Mother and child may be preserved for many years and be a blessing to me, to their parents and to the world, and made heirs of an heavenly inheritance. I have heard nothing from you since you left here. You will gratify us much by writing a line. I have had much trouble in getting a nurse. The one I engaged was taken sick but I have now a widow woman and as good help as can be had. I conclude you are all full of business too much, so to make us any visit it would be gratifying. I saw E? H. Andrews yesterday. They were all well. Cornelia wishes me to inform Dwight that he must come and see his little nephew. She also wishes to be remembered in kindness to her Grand parents and other relatives. With much respect I remain yours.

      Affectionately S. Hall
