    • From Findagrave:

Lady Fermoy. Dame of the Royal Victorian Order. Married Edmund Maurice Burke Roche in 1931.

Lifelong confidante and lady in waiting to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

She was an accomplished concert pianist in Britain and Europe in her youth. She and her husband were instrumental in the extensive restoration of the Guildhall of St. George in King's Lynn, where Shakespeare was reputed to have appeared, and which is considered one of finest examples of a medieval Guildhall in Europe. Lady Fermoy also, with her husband, was the founder of the celebrated King's Lynn Festival, which often features the finest performers in music and the arts, and which is now in its fifth decade.

Grandmother to Diana, Princess of Wales.
