  • Notes
    • From FindaGrave:

Abida B., daughter of David and Sarah* Ware was born in Pennsylvania, October 11, 1843.

As an infant she was taken by her parents to Sauk County, Wisconsin where the family settled, and she lived till shortly after her marriage to C. D. Hall on June 17, 1864.

In 1866 Mr. and Mrs. Hall moved to Tunnel City, Wisconsin which was their home until the fall of 1916 when they moved to Tomah into the present residence. Mr. Hall preceded his wife to God's house in January, 1917.

Nine children did God send to Mr. and Mrs. Hall. Of these there remain three: W. L. Hall of Tomah, Earl D. Hall of Tunnel City, and A. G. Hall of Sparta.

Mrs. Celeste Becker, who is a grandaughter of Mrs. Hall, was adopted by her grand parents when she was but six months old upon the death of her mother. Besides Mrs. Becker there are twelve other grand children and eight great grand children.

Mrs. Hall was the last of eight children.

On the 10th of the month Mrs. Hall departed this life at the mature age of 83 years, 3 months and 28 days, after being confined to her bed for fourteen days. Quietly as she lived upon this earth she left for the next. That is as it should be, for the Lord giveth His beloved rest. For more years than many have lived she knew her Christ in the fellowship of the Methodist Episcopal Church and when she had fulfilled her day on earth God took her to His house.

Funeral services were held in the home Saturday, February 12, in charge of her pastor Rev. David H. LeVin.

*My records show that her Mother's name was Harriet Minerva Johnson, not Sarah.

**Obituary shared by Evelyn Joyce Hall Hasler through her Son, Russell Kreuger.
