Son of Andrew and Jane (Merrill) Hall
When Edmund HALL was born in 1780 in Falmouth, Maine, his father, Andrew, was 30 and his mother, Jane, was 24.
He married Bathshua Hall on March 2, 1805. He died on March 25, 1852, in Maine at the age of 72.
They made their home in Frankfort, Maine. One boy and one girl appear on the 1840 Census still living with Edmund and Bathshua. The remainder of their children have presumably grown up and left home. The 1850 Census, which provided the names of all members living in the family, indicates the son and daughter who were still living with their father were Ebenezer and Hannah. Identification of any other children was not possible.
Bathshua died May 10, 1845.
The 1850 US Census shows that Edmund had taken a new wife. She was Mariam Shaw and they were married between 1845 and 1850. The 1850 Census also shows that Edmund and family are still residing at Frankfort where he is farming. His son Ebenezer and his family are living with him and Ebenezer is helping with the farming.
