      Marguerite A. (Nicholson) Hopkins

Derry, NH - Marguerite A. (Nicholson) Hopkins, 87, of Derry, NH, formerly of Hampstead, NH, passed suddenly at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry on Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Ross Hopkins, who died in 1997.

Born in Lynn, October 17, 1931, she was the only daughter of the late Edward U. (and Jane (Booth) Nicholson and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, then went on the graduate from Boston University School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. This took her on a lifelong, rewarding career as a nurse, working in various nursing homes, then hospitals, and to a more than 20 year employee with the American Red Cross.

Marguerite was a Past Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls and had been a longtime member and several times Past Matron of Friendship Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Amesbury. She loved to travel and had visited many countries throughout Europe. She had a passion for life, living it to its fullest, always doing something for others, always ready for the "next thing". She went through life with a positive attitude, kind words for others, along with her infectious smile. She was truly loved by all who knew her.

She will be fondly remembered by her three sons, William E. Hopkins and wife Donna of Bow, NH, Stephen W. Hopkins and wife Kathy of Newton, NH, and Peter R.
