      Martha Robbins, b. circa 1737 of unknown parents. She d. May 15, 1806 at Wardsboro, VT.

      On Apr. 6, 1756 of record at Hopkinton, Mass. (Christ Ch.), Martha of Hopkinton m. Richard Goss of Mendon, Mass., s. of John Goss and Sarah Philips, bapt. Apr. 30, 1732 at Ipswich, Mass. Richard perhaps d. perhaps as a combatant in the French and Indian War, and their only child, dau. Sarah, was likely b. after his death:

      • i. Sarah Goss, b. Feb. 7, 1757 at Mendon, Mass., d. June 24, 1796 at Mendon; m. as his 1st wife by an intention pub. Mar. 26, 1782 at Mendon, Barlow Carpenter, s. of Capt. Oliver Carpenter and Mary Green(e), b. of record Sept. 12, 1747 at Warwick, Rhode Island. Three children of the family.

      On June 2, 1757 at Mendon, Mass., the widow Martha Goss m. 2) Abner Hazelton, Jr., s. of Abner Hazelton and Elizabeth Rawson, b. Nov. 5, 1731 at Mendon, Mass. He d. Mar. 12, 1816 at Wardsboro, VT. Nine children of the marriage.
