- MRS. COVINGTON HARDEE
WASHINGTON -- Mrs. Joan Chappell Hardee, 47, wife of Covington Hardee of Goose Hill Farm, Mallory Brook Road, died Friday at her summer home in Mijas, Malaga, Spain. Born in Denver, she lived in Brookline, N.Y. before moving to Washington. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves her mother, Mrs. Edna Jance Chappell, of Denver, two sons, John E Lemont and William Hardee, both of Washington; six daughters, Mrs. F. G. Jackson Sr. of Dedham, Mass., Mrs. William L. Harris of Brookline, N. Y.; Robin Lemont of New York City, Felicity Hardee, Meredith Hardee and Nell Hardee, all of Washington; a brother, Pierre Chappell of Denver; and five grandchildren.
The funeral: Friday, 11 a.m., St. John's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Hague J. Nargesian, rector, officiating.
Burial: Washington Green Cemetery.
Memorial services: Wednesday, 4 p.m., Grace Church, 254 Hicks St., Brookline, N. Y. There are no calling hours.
