Son of Isaac and Hannah (Kendall) Hall.
On 2 Sep 1861 Ammi Hall mustered into service with the 1st Company Massachusetts Sharpshooters. He was 28 years, 5 months and 5 days old.
On 27 Aug 1862 in "The Worcester Spy," Worcester, Massachusetts, he was mentioned among the wounded as having arrived at New York from Fortress Monroe.
On 26 Sep 1862 he mustered out of the 1st Massachusetts Sharpshooters discharged for disability.
On 14 Mar 1869 Ammi, 35, married Mary Elizabeth Russell, daughter of Oliver and Lucinda (Frost) Russell, at Arlington, Massachusetts. They had at least two children.
He died on 11 Feb 1894 at Arlington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, of Bright's disease. He was 60 years, 10 months and 14 days old.
