  From FindaGrave: Deacon Isarel Root, aged 80 years, 3 months and 18 days died at his residence in the town of Reedsburg, Sunday morning, April 10, 1881. Deacon Isarel Root was born in the town of Greenbush, Rensselaer county, N. Y., December 22, 1800; moved to Dodge County, this state in the year 1842, and from there to Reedsburg, in 1856, where he resided up to the time of his death. June 27, 1822, he was married to Sarah C. Aldrich, who died January 19, 1857; on the 8th of October, 1857 he married Electa Ransom, who still survives him. Mr. Root was the father of thirteen children, ten sons and three daughters, seven of whom are still living, six of the former and one of the latter. The funeral took place on Monday last, Rev. E. Godwin officiating. That Mr. Root was held in high regard by the people of Reedsburg, the large attendance at his funeral fully attest. Taken from the Reedsburg Free Press of 14 April 1881.
