  From FindaGrave: Helen Louisa Rice, daughter of Joel Tuttle & Mary Jane (Rowe) Rice. She had sisters Fannie and Carrie. Her father was a butcher at a meat market and also a carpenter in New Haven. She married January 26, 1887, in New Haven, to Edwin Cesar Malan Hall. In 1900, her widowed father lived with them and her three surviving children out of 5. Her youngest son Richard was born after 1900. Their children of record: 1. Henry Victor Malan (B A. Pomona College 1912); 2. Raymond Arkley (died March 19, 1899), 3.
