    • From Findagrave:

He came on the ship, JONATHAN, from England to America arriving in 1639, and removing to Newbury in 1640.

One of the first settlers of Newbury, MA., he was also the first Captain of the Militia in Newbury and married (1) Joanna Lowell (Olliver -- her first husband was John) on April 17, 1645 in Newbury, Essex Co., MA, and (2) Ann Parker. The plaque at the right lists the early settlers. After Joanna died, he removed to Boston where he had a business on Long Wharf. His second wife died in Boston after June, 1677. He died at the home of his son, Benjamin, in Salem, Essex Co., MA. His will was proven on 5 December 1687 in Essex County Massachusetts.
