Revolutionary War Veteran. Served in the War for a total of 7 years, originally taking his father's place for duty.
While residing in Connecticut, he enlisted in March 1776, served until December 9, 1776, as a private in Captain Isaac Gallup's company in Colonel Parson's Connecticut regiment and was in the Battle of Long Island. He enlisted December 9, 1776, and served until December 9, 1779, as a private in Captain McGregier's company in Colonel John Durkee's Connecticut regiment and was in the battles of Mud Island and Monmouth. He enlisted again the last of May or first of June 1781 in Captain Lemnel Clift's company in Colonel John Durkee's Connecticut regiment, was in the battles of Jamestown and the siege of Yorktown and was discharged December 9, 1783.
In 1791 he moved to Burlington, Ostego County, New York, and three years later he moved to Brookfield, Midison County, New York.
He was allowed a pension on his application executed June 4, 1833, at which time he was living in Brookfield, New York.
Asa Lamb died April 1, 1839, at Brookfield, New York.
