      Joseph Head, one of Orangeville's pioneers, died on the 13th inst., aged 88 years. he was a farmer and came to this county from Madison county, N.Y. in 1828. he was the last of three brothers who came here together, their names being Jonathan, John and Joseph. Mr. Head had but four children. Collister Head, his son, now owns the farm where the father died. Mrs. Henry Weeks of Orangeville is the only surviving daughter. His daughter, Mrs. David hall, died eight years ago, and Lucius Head was killed by the cars last years. He was a member of the Society of Friends and was buried in the Quaker Cemetery.
