On Feb. 5, 1789 at the Friends Meeting house (Quakers) in Hopkinton, Rhode Island,Hannah Sheffield married Joseph Collins, Jr. son of Joseph Collins and Bathsheba Hoxie. Hannah and Joseph C Collins, Jr. was among the original Quaker settlers to Brookfield. He had a large farm west of town.Joseph Collins and others built a Quaker meeting place on Quaker Hill. 1.
