Hannah Sheffield was the dau. of Samuel and Elizabeth Sheffield of Hopkinton, RI.
On Feb. 5, 1789 at the Friends Meeting house (Quakers) in Hopkinton, Rhode Island,Hannah Sheffield married Joseph Collins, Jr. son of Joseph Collins and Bathsheba Hoxie.
Hannah and Joseph C Collins, Jr. was among the original Quaker settlers to Brookfield. He had a large farm west of town.Joseph Collins and others built a Quaker meeting place on Quaker Hill.
