TUCSON, Ariz. Joseph Horyna, 78, died of stomach cancer Thursday, Oct. 27, in Tucson, Ariz.
Born Nov. 6, 1924, in Rush Springs, Okla., Horyna lived in Redlands for about 30 years before moving to Tucson 12 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Kaiser Steel in Fontana after 29 years with the company.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Horyna of Tucson; three daughters, Brenda Clements and Sonya Horyna, both of Bozeman, Mont., and Jodi Romero of Yucaipa; a son, Ron Horyna of Tucson; a brother, Roger Horyna of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 29 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Tucson.
