- Henry H. Kilmer.
Henry H. Kilmer, of Barkersville, one of the oldest residents of the town of Providence, died on Friday morning while sitting in his chair. He had been suffering for some time with heart trouble, but was somewhat improved and had just moved from the home of Charles Bant to the home of Walter Gifford on the day previous to his death.
Mr. Kilmer was born in Washington county, New York, on June 28, 1821 and resided there until he was fourteen years old. Then he came to the town of Providence, in Saratoga county, where he had since resided, except about two years which he spent in Michigan.
The funeral services were held from the home of his son-in-law, Lynes Lord, on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. Charles Nelson officiating.
Interment will be made in the Barkersville cemetery beside his wife, who died last November.
He is survived by a half sister, Mrs. Mary Bills, one half brother Peter Cranson; two grandsons, George H. and W. L. Lord, and many other more distant relatives.
