      He was the son of Gershom and Abigail (Waldron) Williams.
      Simeon married Silence Talbot in Dighton. She was the daughter of Josiah and Sarah (Gooding) Talbot. Silence died of small pox on Aug. 26, 1793.
      Simeon was a Revolutionary War vetran, having served in the Massachusetts Milita. He was a "Private in Capt. Ellijah Walker's co., Col Pope's (Bristol CO.) reg.; marched Dec. 8, 1776; service, 9 days, at Rhode Island on the alarm of Dec.8, 1776".
