BETSEY, called ELIZA, youngest daughter and child of Zelotes Andrews, of Brimfield, Mass., and Pittsford, Vt., and his wife Betsey Wicker, born 3d May, 1811, at Pittsford; married 5th October, 1839, Abijah H. Howard, M. D., born 30th Janueary, 1804, and died 29th December, 1859, leaving no issue, when second she married 5th Augustm 1869, Rev. Cyrus Pitt Grosvenor, D.D., LL.D., formerly president of New York Central College. He was a graduate of Dartmouth, and Princeton Theological Seminary, and a man of great literary attainments, especially in mathematical science. He is also well real in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. His discovery lately of a new principle by which the quadrature of the circle is obtained and demonstrated has attracted great interest. I am under special obligations to Mrs. Grosvenor for a history of her father and his family. Her last was dated at Albion, Ill.
